Mark Caithness

Builder, Designer, Sales

Caithness Construction, LLC was founded by Mark I. Caithness in 1996. As a resident of Sarasota for over 40 years, Mark has been an active part of this area’s real estate market growth and development. Before graduating from Florida Southern College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, he completed multiple real estate courses as well as remodeled homes. He always had a vision and passion for enhancing homes and properties across Sarasota. Mark’s initial days in the home building business started on the sales side, but quickly moved over to the construction side. Within six months in the building industry, he began his own custom home construction company and built it from the ground up. He has over 25 years of experience building and designing custom homes as well as developing neighborhoods all around the Sarasota area.

Alicia Natale Caithness

Business Development, Marketing, Real Estate Services

Alicia has over 15 years of experience with strategic planning, market analysis and business development. She also brings consulting skills in quality management and operations improvement. At Caithness Construction, she specializes in new home and land sales, marketing of homes, model-home interior/exterior design selections as well as staging of new construction homes. Since 2014, she has been a licensed Realtor with RE/MAX Platinum with expertise in single family, waterfront, land and luxury home sales. She has a Master Degree of Healthcare Administration (MHA) and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Science from the University of South Florida.

Kevin Emberton

Superintendent

With over 40 years in the construction industry, Kevin brings 22 years of experience as a superintendent overseeing construction and field operations of new custom homes as well as remodeling of single family homes and commercial projects.  At Petz Development, he was in charge of managing all subcontractor work and trouble-shooting custom design plans and blue prints.  He began in the aluminum business and owned a carpentry company before specializing in residential framing, siding and trim.

Sean McCoy

Superintendent

Sean has been in the construction industry for over 11 years with skills in commercial construction, residential building, new construction, demolition and remodeling.  Most recently, he was a Superintendent and Director of Field Operations for a Design/Build Firm in Santa Fe, New Mexico where his team was awarded the winner of "Best Craftsmanship" in the Parade of Homes.  Sean brings strong management and communication skills out in the field, with project management, and office management.  He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts.

Jim Haase

Superintendent

For over 30 years, Jim has been in the construction field.  He brings an in-depth knowledge of project management for all aspects and stages of home construction.   As a superintendent, Jim has built hundreds of residential homes in the Southwest Florida area.

Michelle Gossett

Project Manager

Michelle has over 34 years of experience in the construction business and brings an extensive knowledge of building methods, construction practices, bidding and purchasing. She has 15 years of project management and customer liaison skills from First Communities Corporation (an Arthur Rutenburg Franchise) and Tangerine Development. She was a lead project engineer and customer liaison with Dooley and Mack Construction for 10 years before joining the Caithness Construction team in 2006.

Pam Jaillet

Office Accountant

With over 25 years of experience in accounting, Pam brings a strong background in accounting, business administration and management.  She has an extensive knowledge of Quickbooks, General Ledger reconciliations, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, billing and invoicing.  Pam's strong financial and analytical skills have allowed her to perform accounting functions and duties for a variety of companies as well as private clients.

Ashley Cherilla

Exterior & Interior Home Design 

Ashley brings over 10 years of interior design and consulting experience, with expertise in new custom homes for both exterior and interior selections.  She brings a fresh design perspective to her home design projects with careful attention to detail and overall home design coordination.  She also has experience as a design consultant with Ralph Interiors in Venice and Bee Ridge Lighting in Sarasota.
